Sundays at Westminster
At Westminster Presbyterian Church, we worship together as a community on Sunday mornings. Throughout the week, each individual within our community worships the Lord by serving and sharing God’s love with others. We offer two very different styles of worship services on Sunday mornings, and we put great emphasis on facilitating a strong Christian education program for people of all ages.
Our 9 a.m. service is our traditional service. Held in our beautiful sanctuary, the traditional service includes music performed by our wonderful Sanctuary Choir. Come worship to the sound of our pipe organ, which was created over a three-year period by Canada’s internationally acclaimed organ building firm of Casavant-Freres.
You might also enjoy some of our excellent groups that provide special music for us on a rotating basis:
• both adult and youth bell choirs
• three children’s choirs
• a youth choir
Following the 9 a.m. service, enjoy the company and conversation of fellow believers over a cup of coffee as you make your way to one of our Christian education programs. Our Christian education hour runs from 10:10 to 11:00. Age graded classrooms for students from the ages of 3 through high school are offered by our excellent team of pastors and teachers. We also offer two or three options for adults, ranging from Bible studies to marriage enrichment.
Our Jacob’s Well service is our contemporary service which begins at 11:15 a.m. This service is held in our Shared Life Center and offers the spiritual benefits of a traditional church service in a coffee house atmosphere. Have a seat at one of our round tables and enjoy a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee, or some orange juice, along with your favorite baked good. Imagine a church service in your favorite coffee joint, only here, there’s no charge for the refreshments! Sing along with live contemporary praise music performed by talented musicians, and be nourished by the company and conversation of a community of believers!
Rest easy and enjoy the morning knowing your child is being cared for by a quality child care team, staffed by trained professionals. Child care is available at no cost throughout the morning.
