We had a meaningful Lenten season and Holy Week at Westminster! Thanks to all who gave so much of their heart and soul to our abundant worship services, concerts, studies and acts of service during such an overflowing time in the life of the church. I hope as we experience the great fifty days of Eastertide that lead us to Pentecost, we as a congregation can recognize that the gift of the resurrection is that indeed God is for us and God's spirit can burn within us. This loving life is ours to share and as we rejoice in the past we also strive to build our future.
As we learn from the story of the friends on the road to Emmaus quoted above, sometimes we miss God in our midst so carefully read the stories you'll discover in this newsletter and see God is here and for us!
On a personal note, I'm writing this on the eve of my doctoral defense and I am forever grateful for your steadfast prayers and support for me over the course of my doctorate program. It truly is a team effort and I so appreciate you being on the team!
