June brings us so many opportunities to vary our routine and often our path goes on to discover new things. A joy of living in Iowa is to be outside and discovering. This enriches our heart and gives us HOPE for our weary souls after a long winter and hot/cold spring. I hope you will utilize this abundant month to draw closer to Christ through Worship and study at Westminster. As you read this newsletter you'll discover new sermon topics, series and studies to give new life to your journey with Christ.
My path will take me many miles away as I'll be in Israel for the first two weeks of this month. I'll be working on a sermon series while I'm gone entitled, "Praying Where Jesus Prayed." We'll use the Lord's Prayer from the gospel of Luke and use illustrations from the various sites I'll visit on my journey with my North Central Iowa colleagues in ministry. I'm so thankful to John Butler, Cathy Young and Jim Guyer who will cover pastoral care and preaching while I am gone.
I hope you find your way to Worship either on Wednesdays or Sundays as we deepen our love for Christ and each other as we greet the wonderful season of summer!
With great hope,
