Dr. Patricia Jacobs
Tricia, who is our Senior Pastor, was born in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo to missionary parents. Returning to the U.S. when she was just 2 months old, Tricia grew up in West Chester, PA. Thanks to being selected for a prestigious Eli Lily Grant in 2010, Tricia and her family were able to return to her birthplace.
Tricia, who received her ordination in the American Baptist Church, graduated from William Jewell College in 1989 and Central Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992. She’s held pastorates at First Baptist, Waterloo (IA), The Baptist Church of West Chester, PA, and Warren Baptist Church in Warren, Maine.
Tricia works with the Finance, Property, Worship & Music, Personnel and Stewardship Committees. All community building groups and activities are blessed by her wonderful sense of humor and adventure.
Tricia is married to Bruce. They have two daughters, Hannah and Hope. Tricia very much enjoys traveling, reading biographies and zealously cheering on “her” Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Email Tricia at email@example.com
We are pleased to announce that we have hired Patrick Marchant as our Director of Music Ministries. Patrick will direct the Chancel Choir, Praise Team and LightShine. He will also work with our children's bell choir and the Promise Academy. Patrick will also administer the music program overall.
Patrick has a long history in music ministry. He is currently serving as a Worship Leader at a church in Wisconsin. He has experience with traditional, contemporary and blended music. He can work with instrumentalists and execute large productions. Patrick teaches and administers his own piano studio with students of all ages. Sally works as a secretary in the office four days a week. Her primary responsibilities are Congregational Care prayer lists, keeping attendance, answering phones, greeting people, and helping the Christian Education and Music ministries at Westminster. Sally is married to Ted and they have three daughters and seven grandchildren. She loves to bake, sew, knit, read and enjoy the outdoors. Email Sally at email@example.com
Jodi is the Office Manager at Westminster. She is responsible for the administration of our church office, supervisor to the other office secretary and the custodial staff. Jodi loves to read, can vegetables from her garden, watch movies, spend time with her nieces and her favorite vacation is fishing in Minnesota every year with her family. Becky has been the part-time Financial Secretary at Westminster for over 20 years and served as the Christian Education Coordinator for five. She and her husband Wally have been members at Westminster for over 35 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren. Waterloo has been their home their entire lives. Jordan is our senior custodian. He was born in San Jose Costa Rica where he lived until he was ten, then moved to Iowa where he has lived since. Jordan lives with his wife, Tabitha, daughters Jada and Samantha and 3 dogs, Sadi, Jasmine and Daisy. He enjoys spending time with family, grilling, golfing, fishing and camping. Charissa has been at Westminster since 2001. She is excited to lead the Messenger & Church Mice Choirs. She will also be our Contemporary Praise Team leader and Music Administrator. She was born and raised in Waterloo and now lives and teaches 7/8 Vocal Music in Waverly. Her family includes her husband Jeff and their 6 year old twins Paisley and Anthony. Rev. Dan Voigt
Dan is the latest addition to the staff and new to the Waterloo area. He is overseeing the work of the Deacons, Christian Education, Membership & Outreach and Missions. Dan is passionate about helping people be authentic in their faith and is excited to continue Westminster’s legacy of blessing the world through its ministries.
Dan grew up in Southwest Minnesota and has worked in churches in Anchorage, AK, Pittsburgh, PA and Hamburg, IA, and received his M. Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Dan enjoys grilling, playing golf, soccer, and guitar, going to a show, and watching almost any sport. He is a proud dad of objectively the two most beautiful children in the world, and an honored husband to Blair. Email Dan at email@example.com
Scott started as the Director of Youth Ministries at Westminster in August, 2009. His passion is youth ministry and he’s ministered to young people for over 30 years. Having been actively involved in multiple mission projects, camps, conference and retreats, his biggest reward is bringing the youth to a better understanding of their faith and the role it will play in their life’s journey.
Scott has been married to his wife Vicki for over 40 years; they’re blessed with three children and six grandchildren. Vicki is retired from the Waterloo Community School System.

Alisa divides her time working at Westminster between being the Director of Children’s Ministries and helping out as a Custodian. Two of Alisa’s great passions in life are art and children. She has two art degrees, one in Ceramics and one in Graphic Design. She has taught Sunday school, worked at Bible Camp, and worked in day cares and schools. As a result, she loves coming up with ideas for children’s craft projects. Alisa enjoys being physically active. She has done karate and roller derby in the past, and currently she loves bike riding and running. She loves anything that involves being outdoors or being with animals. Alisa is also a member of the Westminster Piecemakers group that meets on Thursday mornings. Alisa has been married to her husband, Matt, since 2007, and they have been members since 2010. Andrea is our Director of Child Care. She has an 8 year old son Kainen, and they live in Waterloo. She currently works for the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated from UNI in 2007 with a degree in Health Promotion. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, going to Holiday Lake and being active outside.
